France Park Quarry Bridal Session

Updated: Nov 3

"This is Indiana?", was my first thought when I visited France Park in November 2020. I went there with a couple on the search for a waterfall. Little did I know, after an hour of shooting at the falls, there is a whole cliffside overlooking a quarry. A spot like this a dream for a midwest based photographer.

Let's forget the views for a minute & talk about this hot couple instead. Kymber & Ernest are dear friends of mine, lovely humans inside & out. Just days before this styled session, Ernest asked Kymber to marry him on a vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Overjoyed to be sharing in their latest romantic flame, I was happy I was able to give them some bridal portrait practice as they plan for their big day.

The shoot was actually designed around this dress borrowed from Darke Winter Rentals. I like to mix styles & I didn't want to fully lean into the 20s flapper vibe. Kymber is already a goddess so why not throw together an olive crown & lean into her natural contrapposto.

What I love about this location the most is it's diversity. Green lush trails, cliffside, water, golden pampas grass shores, & a waterfall. It is the perfect place for an adventurous elopement in Northern Indiana.

I am so thankful for adventurous friends who love to make gorgeous imagery with me. Here's to their (soon) happily ever after!
